I'm Gunna Get You

song of the day - 96 Tears by The Stranglers.
Last week I decided to take a well needed trip to the Trafford Centre, and came home with a very empty purse. I'd say I regret spending all that money, but we all know I'd be lying. Buying pretty things is my favourite thing to do, be it for me or someone else.
 distressed shorts & choker - Forever21. top - H&M.
For those with delicate sensibilities: you might want to avert your eyes now.
 Boux Avenue
Victoria's Secret.
I didn't realise that the sales were on before going out. So it was a very happy surprise when I trotted into Victoria's Secret, and there were signs saying "50% off"! I love having a look round VS, but usually the prices are way too high for me to buy anything from there. This time, though, I walked away with some joggers, and 2 bras. Result.

Have you been taking advantages of the sales?

In the same exact pattern

song of the day - Crazy in Love by Eminem
One of my favourite shows at the moment is Revenge. It has it all; intrigue, drama, and more cheesiness than a packet of wotsits. The programme also has some of the best outfits. From Vera Wang, to Burberry, the women of the Hamptons sure know how to dress. Or at least the costume department knows how to dress them.

Victoria probably has the best wardrobe. This lady never wears the same dress twice, and always looks fierce as hell. The costume department tailor the outfits to perfection, and Victoria always looks flawless.
If only I had the money (and occasion) to wear dresses like this.

Emily, the main character in Revenge, pretty much has three outfit settings: little miss innocent, laid-back casual, and woman on a mission. Whether that mission is kicking some butt, or making a certain male jealous, it changes from time to time.
And we can't forget about the men. Nolan Ross definitely has his own unique sense of style, I'm not completely sure how to even explain it. It's very clean, but also very eclectic.

Other notable mentions are Margaux (she's french, she's cute, and she knows how to work it), Ashley (the fashionista), and Charlotte (I hate the character but I love the clothes).

drink up sweet decadence

song of the day - Good Enough by Evanescence
Hey there sports fans!
So I've already done 2 fictional character style icons, seen here & here, and now it's time for a actual real person whose style I love. I've loved this woman's style for years now, everything I've seen her in is just amazing, and she always looks beautiful.
This person is Amy Lee, front woman of Evanescence.
I find this woman stunningly beautiful! The first time I heard Evanescence would have been around 2004, and I fell in love with the band. Bring me to life was the first song I'd listened to from them, and from then on Evanescence have been one of my favourite bands. Amy has an amazing voice, and the band in general are just so great, the music so powerful for me.
I think it was during the video for Going Under that I started to fall in love with Amy's clothes as well. In the video Amy has multiple outfits, but the main one for me is a red gothic dress with black detailing. It's a gorgeous dress, with stunning detail, and fits Amy really well.
And my love for Amy's clothes has just grown from there!
I can't wait to see what she'll be wearing next, and Evanescences new video (which I think is supposed to be from My Heart Is Broken)

these are screenshots from the lastest Evanescence video, and again, I love the dresses! such stunning detail.

What about you guys? Who is your style icon? Whose style do you admire?

It’s only fear after all

song of the day - Fear by Pauley Perrette
I am a huge fan of Pauley Perrette, and the first thing I ever saw her in was NCIS. Pauley plays the cheerful goth forensic scientist, Abby Scuito, who is just one of my favourite characters of all time!
But my love for them is not what I'm here to talk about, it's Abby's clothing that this post is dedicated to. A few months ago I did a post called "my fictional style icon" where I told y'all about how I love the costume designs for Charmed, and most of all for the character Phoebe Halliwell. Just think of this at my fictional style icon 2.0.
I love gothic fashion, there's just something about the clothing that I find amazing. And the wardrobe department at NCIS always style Pauley brilliantly.
I don't know what I can say about the clothes, other than I love them. I also think Pauley looks amazing in them, she's just gorgeous. I think my favourite part of Abby's look is the footwear; platorm boots are a firm favourite of mine.
You may have noticed that i don't actually wear anything gothic, this is mostly because there's only one place that I know of where I can actually go and buy the clothes. But also because the majority of online alt clothing stores are so hard to navigate.
Here's a video I found on youtube with some behind-the-wardrobe action
NCIS wardrobe department, you are awesome.

My fictional style icon.

For 8 years I watched and adored the series Charmed. One of the many things I loved about the show was the styling. Even when the cast weren't wearing elaborate costumes the clothes were beautiful, my favourites usually belonged to Phoebe (played by the stunning Alyssa Milano) and she is probably my fictional style icon. Through all 8 years of the shows Eilish Zebrasky was the costume designer (there were two others at various stages, but Eilish was the main person).
The outfits ranged from the cheesy
To the mythical
The elegant
And the simple
And I loved them all. It may go without saying but i would love to own all of these outfits (although I wouldn't really wear the mermaid one).
Those above have all been more costume-y, but I also love the day to day clothes Eilish Zebrasky has put Alyssa in, her look is kinda kooky, cute and a tad saucy.
