With The Wrong Attitude

song of the day - Nice Guys Finish Last by Cobra Starship
top&jumper - Primark. trousers - Zara.
Sometimes you see something in the sale that you really want, but don't exactly need so you don't buy it. Then, when you go back online later because you've decided you actually really do need them they've sold out. That's the story behind these trousers. I was absolutely gutted, then I managed to find them in the big Zara in Manchester, where I immediately snatched them up before I could change my mind. Again.
I mean, green corduroy bell-bottoms are just a must, right? Well, maybe not, but who cares. They were only £7.99.

I'm Afraid I can't

song of the day - I'm Afraid Of Americans by david Bowie
dress - H&M. top - Zara. underthingy to protect what little modesty I have - Primark.
Wasn't the snow lovely! Thankfully I wasn't actually out in it in this outfit, otherwise my legs would have dropped off from frostbite. A few toes certainly came close. I pretty much spent the snow day snuggled up in my dressing gown, only venturing out to take a few photos of the prettiness.

I do love this dress, but it's not often I wear it. The material snags quite easily, so I have to be very careful about where I'm walking while wearing it. That's not an easy thing for me, if I go a day without bumping into something I consider it a miracle.
The snow only stuck around for about 24 hours, I was very disappointed. The only good thing about it was that here wasn't much of a slushy aftermath, so I was able to go to work without donning my wellies.

You Found Me

song of the day - I Knew You Were Trouble by Taylor Swift
jumper - souvenir from my brother. skirt - Zara.
Shorts skirts, big jumpers, that's pretty much my aesthetic. I'll be rocking a miniskirt along with my stickered zimmer when I'm 80.
It snowed yesterday/last night, and I love it! Mostly because I'm not in work until Tuesday, so I don't have to battle the weather on my commute.

She Caused A Scene

song of the day - Billie Jean by Michael Jackson
top & skirt - Zara. tights - Primark.
With Christmas over my hours have gone back down at work; no more working 6 days a week (for the foreseeable future)! This means I actually have time to sit down and catch up with the blogging world. Be it writing my own blog, or reading others, I love relaxing with my wifi.
For my first outfit post of the year I thought I'd go with an old favourite: Zara. I still remember when we first got Zara in my hometown, it was lust at first sight. 8 years later and we now have a love that will never die, Ross and Rachel ain't got shit on us.
I'm not a big wearer of white (I say this every time I do a outfit post wearing anything white), but this skirt just had to come home with me last year. The shape, and material is just perf! Zara know how to make a good pencil skirt, they always fit perfectly.

Notify My Next Of Kin

song of the day - Wheel's On Fire by Julie Driscoll
My aesthetic? Patsy Stone without the drugs and alcohol.
It's no secret that I have been loving the seventies trend this year. When I spotted this skirt on the Missguided website a few weeks ago I knew I had to have it. They also have it in blue which I will not buy. I won't. Promise!

The One That They Call a Queen

song of the day - Diva by Beyonce
skirt - Zara. cami - Primark.
choker - Forever 21.
Have you ever just seen something and thought "yes, that's for me, I don't even care how much is it"? Well, that was me when I saw this skirt. It's a great shape, and I love the print. Thankfully it was only £9.99 (bargain). It's one of those pieces you can dress up for a fancier occasion, or dress down for a brew with the girls. Perfect.

In That Sunshine State

song of the day - California Love by 2Pac
It's so hot and humid out today, I just about managed to walk to my local pasty shop and back before needing a sit down. I was barely out for 15 minutes and I was ready for a cold shower. It's currently 30 degrees (which is 86 for you fahrenheit peeps) in my town, and let me tell you now, I am not made for heat.
Yesterday I was so close to climbing into the freezer to cool down, but I managed to resist the temptation. Because of the heat and early start at work I ended up taking a nap at 6 o'clock. I think I'm ready for my pension and bus pass now, thank you.
 top H&M. trousers - Zara.
I own a few crop tops, but this my favourite. It looks perfect with any pair of high-waisted trousers.

You Fight Me All Along

song of the day - Fighting For My Love by Nil Lara
I'm feeling very jazzy in these trousers. My mum hasn't seen these yet, but I know as soon as she does she'll be telling me how much in common we have. They are the type of trousers I hated when I was younger, patterned, baggy, colourful, eurgh. Now, on the overhand, I love them. Trying to find a top to go with them was a pain though. Once it gets warmer out (again) a white cami style top would go nicely with them, but at the minute it's too cold for that. So, for now I'm pairing them with this Vixxsin top.

Is there a style you hated when you were younger, but love now?

Your Foolish Pride

song of the day - Layla by Derek and the Dominos
skirt - Zara. blouse - Primark
I was never a member of the brownies, but in this shirt I feel like I could have been! I've been feeling yellow a lot recently, but paired with my usual black I look like a bumble bee. I really wanted this shirt though, so I was determined to wear it. I can't remember how much it was, but it's from Primani, so it'd be under a tenner.
Every season there's usually one trend that I fall in love with, and this time round it's that 70's show trend. The woven skirt is making me feel very seventies, with the colour scheme it has going and, the flare. All I need now are some gogo boots, and a poncho. Pretty sure my mum will have them in an attic somewhere.
Sorry for the blurred face, I think I must have moved my head during this photo.
What's your favourite fashion trend of the moment?

Just Laugh And Joke Around

song of the day - Mardy Bum by Arctic Monkeys
ootd primark zara
I love a good skort, they're a good excuse to get my pins out. I do not like autocorrect changing the word to skirt though!
This turtle neck is around 6 years old now, and it's still one of my favourite tops. The dog on the front just reminded me of Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, so I couldn't not buy it. I got it when Zara first opened a store in my hometown; it soon became my favourite place to shop.

top - Necessary Evil. trousers - Zara. bracelet w/ skulls - Topshop. silver bracelets & rings - H&M.
Spring is here, and I seem to be doing things a little backwards. During the winter months I wore a lot of colour, and now I seem to have retreated back to the dark section of my wardrobe. Black is just so easy to wear, and everything automatically matches. No fuss, no muss.
I wear these trousers constantly, so it's a little surprising to me that this is only the second OOTD featuring them this year (fourth on the blog so far). Seriously, I wear it with everything. Graphic tees, jumpers, blouses;  I'm surprised I haven't worn them with a dress yet.
We're a third of the way through the month already, and time seems to be picking up for me. The first few months of the year dragged on, but now time seems to be rushing by me. Hopefully time will slow back down again soon (preferably before my birthday, 24? no thank you).

She Walks Right Through The Door

song of the day - Been Caught Stealing by Janes Addiction
I love the look of jumpsuits, but I only own one. The reason for this is that most don't fit me well. Either they are a little too high in places, or too baggy. When I saw this one I knew that I had to have it, and I managed to nab it for £12 in the Missguided sale. The elasticated waist gives me a bit of shape, and the adjustable straps means that the top part isn't hanging off of me. The only downside is that the material is very fragile. I'm hoping that it will survive a go in the washing machine, but who knows.
The 70's trend that is around at the minute has really caught my eye, and that's what came to mind when I first spotted this jumpsuit. I could just picture it my head; a blouse, thick soled shoes, and this jumpsuit. With a colours reminiscent of Jack and Vera wallpaper, it's doing its part to brighten up my wardrobe.

Say You'll Remember

song of the day - Blue Jeans by Lana Del Ray
From the ages of around 15 to 22 I pretty much lived in jeans. Seriously, I owned around 13 pairs at one point. For the past year and a half though I've been venturing more into skirts, shorts, and trousers. It also didn't help that I ruined my favourite pair of jeans. I've been hoping to find a similar pair (bell bottom style), sadly it doesn't seem meant to be. I finally just gave in and bought a new pair of skinnies instead. I was tempted to buy a nice pair of Topshop jeans, but the sizing confused me (it's easily done) so I went to old faithful instead; Forever21. At £17.50 they were a great price.

Blue jeans, white shirt,
Walked into the room you know you made my eyes burn
Everyday I seem to be putting on more and more layers. It's just too cold outside, and it's not much better inside!

Are you a jeans person? Or do you prefer anything but?

It's Like Gold Dust

song of the day - Gold Dust by DJ Fresh.
jumper - George@Asda. trousers - Zara. scarf - Primark.
With the weather as it is I've been living in cuddly jumpers; It's either snowing, hailing, or raining. Sadly in my little corner of the world it's not been snowing heavily enough for my liking. Every time I see a photo of the snow in Sheffield I get a teeny bit jealous.
Have you been enjoying the snow? Did you even get any?

A Friend Who's Dressed In Leather

song of the day - Pure Morning by Placebo
1. Topshop £150. 2. Karen Millen £450. 3. Zara £159.
There's just something about a good leather jacket that I just love. Every year I try to find one to buy, but there never seems to be the right one.
The biggest issue I seem to have with finding the right leather jacket is sleeve length. I'm one of those people that like my sleeves to come down a little ways past the wrist, but I've yet to find a jacket were the sleeves even reach my wrists at all. Maybe I just have abnormally long arms.
Are you a leather jacket lover? or do you think we should leave leather for bikers?

With My Mask Off

song of the day - Feelin' Myself by Nicki Minaj
Last Wednesday I went to the Trafford Centre for a bit of retail therapy. Surprisingly I only bought three things in the sales (for myself), which is a mighty feat. I might be doing a bit of local sales shopping next week, but we'll just ignore that.
One of the main reasons for going out was to buy a pair of black trousers for work. My current faves are getting a little ragged around the edges, so off I went. It took me a few shops, but then I found these in Forever 21. I didn't actually realise these were in the sale until I got to the till, so that was a nice surprise. On a side note, the changing room doors at F21 start very high up, it was a little odd because I'm so used to full doors/curtains. They were £9.99 down from £17.50-ish (I can't find the tags!).
My last stop of the day was Zara, where I found this gorgeous handbag. I don't own a lot of bags, mostly because it's a lot of faff to take all of my bits out of one bag and put them in another every day. This will be a replacement for my current everyday handbag. It was £25.99 down from £39.99.
Finally, on my way to the till, I saw this stunning jumper. It was so soft and such a lovely colour that I just couldn't stop myself. For 2015 I'm trying to branch out into different colours, but I always seem to be drawn to reds and greens (and black). Originally this jumper was £45.99, which I have to say was worth it but not a price I'd pay. Thankfully it went down to £19.99. It was a blooming' good steal if you ask me.

Did you find anything nice in the sales? Or have you bought anything from the new collections recently?

p.s. I wasn't sure how I wanted to photograph the items that I bought, so I took a bit of inspiration from Sarah's haul photographs, let me know what you think!
