Tomorrow's much too long

song of the day - Today by Smashing Pumpkins
With the boxing day just around the corner I thought I'd show you some of my favourite beauty picks that you should look out for in the sale (or you could buy now as last minute gifts). Beauty gift sets are always a favourite of mine, and it's even better when they get discounted post-Christmas.
First up we have the Stila Eternally Yours Liquid Lipstick set. I'd never tried Stila before, but I quickly fell in love with these. The red shade (Fiery) has to be my favourite, I've been wearing it none-stop for weeks now.
Another set is this one from Bite Beauty. I love the Bite lip crayons, and this set is great for trying them out. I just wish you could get this brand in England, thankfully Sephora has international shipping.
Now, this isn't really a set, but it's is a Christmas themed item. It's the This Works Sleep Plus+ cracker. I've heard a lot about This Works over the years, all of it good. The Sleep Plus+ is something that you spray on your pillow at night, and it's supposed to be a natural remedy for broken sleep.

What will you be looking out for in the sales?

Take Me On

song of the day - Take On Me by A-Ha.
For years I've heard about NYX products through various youtubers and bloggers, but it's been so hard to get hold of in the uk. For a while NYX was stocked in Next, but not one local to me, and I didn't want to just buy from the NYX website. A few weeks ago NYX launched in Boots, and I was so excited!
As soon as I heard the news I was planning a visit. All the lip products wanted to come home with me, but I managed to control myself and only buy two items.
The first product I picked up was the soft matte lip cream in San Paulo, a reddish pink. It's a nice little lip creme, slightly patchy at first, but easily buildable. I will be honest, the majority of my make-up is high end, and NYX really doesn't hold up against the likes of Kat Von D or Lancome when it comes to liquid lipsticks type products. The colour payoff and lasting power isn't the greatest, but for £5.50 it's not too bad.

I also bought a lipliner in the shade BedRose. A pinkish nude, I feel like this would be a great base for most of my pink/nude lipsticks. It's smooth to apply, and the colour is gorgeous. I'll definitely be trying more of the liners from NYX.

You Know She Wrote It

song of the day - It's All About The Benjamins by Puff Daddy
With Christmas just round the corner I've barely had a chance to dress nicely and go anywhere. Seriously, working retail during Christmas is brutal.  If I'm not at work then I don't really feel like going out. T'is the season for works Christmas do's though, so I thought I'd throw an outfit together that could be worn to one.
I bought this dress over the weekend from Select, and I fell in love with is as soon as I saw it. The colour is gorgeous, and at £13.99 it's was a bargain. I always seem to buy a red dress at this time of year, this is the third year in a row I've done so. Usually they get worn on Christmas Eve when I get together with my family.

Cute Little Pussycat Nose

song of the day - What's New Pussycat by Tom Jones
This morning my friends and I braved the weather (and christmas shoppers) to visit the Rock in Bury. As in the shopping centre, not Dwayne. I didn't buy much, just the essentials (tights with Thumper on them, and a red dress).

Afterwards I photographed my friends cats, the little cuties did not want to stay still at all. I did manage to get a few good shots in though.

Today was a good day.

Well The Weather Is Cruel

song of the day - Christmas Time by Darkness
It's become apparent over the last month or so that I can't resist a nice jumper. I own a lot of jumpers already, but when the cold hits I just want to be surrounded by them. Some people dream about rolling around in a big pile of money, I dream about rolling around in a big pile of jumper.
I don't own any christmas jumpers, and have never owned one (to my recollection). That had to change this year. I found the above jumper in Primark and it is perfect. Not too tacky or over the top, it's great to show a bit of Christmas spirit.
This next jumper is also from Primark. I already have this jumper in a grey/white mix, and I knew when I bought that one that I'd probably end up getting other colours.  Hopefully I can stop after 2. They're just so cuddly and warm though, I usually wear them to work under my uniform.
Last but certainly not least is the jumper I'll be living in over Christmas. This beauty is from H&M, and a bargain at £14.99. It is honestly the warmest thing I own, and not scratchy, which I thought it would be given the sparkly bits. I was thinking about wearing this for our family Christmas meal, but it's so warm that I might just turn into a puddle while cooking.
